First Aquarius Eclipse February 17

We are in between worlds, the new moon for the Eclipse happens in Aquarius with the North node still in Pisces.  The Pisces aspect has been a long journey leading up to now.  Over the last two and a half years, we have learned to connect with our intuitions and spirituality. We all, in some way, have experienced an unexplained sense of knowing and a type of enlightenment.

Pisces is a water sign that feels its way through its environment; it doesn’t need hard facts or a list to make sense of its direction.  Pisces is a sign that feels the connection of everything, and has faith in energies unseen.  We all have had a taste of this in our lives, either big or small. With this comes the question: What am I doing with my life? Isn’t the point expression, connection, and, dare I say, love?  Many have changed their work-life balance to take care of their bodies, connect with their loved ones, or enjoy themselves.  This was strengthened by the ruler of Pisces in Cancer and Saturn in Pisces. These changes were also brought on by the stress we all have and are still working with due to the south node in Virgo.

The other world is where the New Moon is in Aquarius.  This starts the beginning of a new eclipse season and a new wave of energy between Aquarius and Leo. While Aquarius focuses on the collective, Leo speaks to the individual—the one leader or figure in charge. Aquarius is a sign that is very Alien in nature. It's intelligent, eccentric, and feels little need to fit in and mold to the norm. So, we as a collective will start to resonates with these energies in our lives.

Further emphasizing this, the Aquarian new moon is placed in the third decan, which illustrates a feeling that you don’t quite belong; it comes with a question of, “should I stay or should I go,” accompanied by a pained or serious criticism of what’s around you. This Aquarian decan is ruled by both Moon and Venus, emphasizing themes of home, togetherness, and travel. This translates to me as people deciding to leave to find a safe, stable situation. This could literally mean travel from one's home or a mental journey in understanding one's place in the world. We may start to see the world—and how we connect—differently. There’s also a strong call for unity regarding people’s rights, which aligns with the Aquarian nature.

The ruler of Aquarius, Saturn in Aries, emphasizes the feeling of being an outsider in a world unlike your own.  Saturn in Aries is currently in conjunction with Neptune. This combination dissolves the individual and devolves the structures we are accustomed to. Saturn is in detriment in Aries; detriment planets represent those who have less privileges, and those who function in a way that is different from society's norm. With this, the sign of Aquarius continues the themes of our current time, as people fight for marginalized groups for a deeper understanding of community, perhaps breaking down the barriers that separate the individual from the collective. Neptune often serves as a portal between worlds, offering spiritual, energetic, and otherworldly insights that are difficult to articulate.

This eclipse squares Uranus in Taurus, so it could mark the beginning of our lives taking a different turn.  Uranus liberates, but it does so by breaking us free; however, it may not feel that way when it happens.  It could instead feel like things are out of our control.

To tie this all together, the chart of this new moon eclipse places Aqaurius in the 3rd house with Leo in the 9th. Pisces is in the 4th and Aries is in the 5th.  What this all means is that there will be an active pursuit of knowledge. There will also be a rise in new information. Simultaneously, there will be a remembrance of sorts from our past, with a spiritual and otherworldly resonance. Aquarius is a sign that needs to analyze and understand; it's a sign that is open to hearing all views but can only register with that which has a scientific basis. With the influence of Pisces, I think there will be an active pursuit of knowledge to make sense of the rise in intuition. There will also be an increase in insights that combines spirituality with science, quantum physics, and yes, aliens.

Aquarius is also a sign that wants a social structure that considers the community and the people as a whole. So there will be a surge of voices standing up for injustice.  With Saturn in Aries, conjunct Neptune, we will see structures being broken. Some of the themes around this would be those of the 5th house: sex, children, love, and self-expression.  I think we will see protests due to barriers around these subjects, as well as to freedom of speech. With Leo sitting in the 9th house, opposing, there could be new laws on foreign travel and the rights of foreigners.

Life is getting weird, but I have to say I’m hopeful. Many of us are evolving, and change can be good. I see it as an opportunity to free ourselves from outdated structures and come together for a stronger sense of community.

Yes, times have been a bit heady and emotionally charged. Near the end of January, Pluto's late interactions with Venus, Mars, and the Sun brought realizations about what has been controlling us and taking our power away. These unearthing experiences could have been triggering. But it paved the way for a new perspective, a sense of liberation, and the reclaiming of one's own power.

Finding a way to connect and balance our internal world and logical mind would be beneficial at this time. Remember, you are not alone, and a little hope, love, and compassion can go a long way.  Especially when you extend this to yourself as well.

Remember, you’re awesome and you’re worth it.

Love to help you navigate this time.

Feel free to book a reading.

Take care✨🌈✌🏾
